Who may use it

Saylito is for adults: you must be 18 or over. By using it you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy.

What a practice score is

Saylito is a practice coach. An AI scores the sounds you read aloud, and a practice score is an estimate from a few sentences: it is never a test result, a level or a certificate, and the AI can be wrong. Do not use it to decide anything about a job, a visa, a school or a test.

Practice, not therapy: for a voice or speech problem, see a speech-language pathologist. Saylito is not a medical or speech-therapy service.

The free test and drills

The free accent test can be taken once a day and the free drills 3 times a day, per person. Scoring costs us money for every second, so it also rests for everyone when the day’s or the month’s scoring budget is used (“Scoring is resting until tomorrow”); it starts again the next day, or on the 1st of the next month.

Using it fairly

• record only your own voice;
• do not use robots, scripts or many browsers to get more free scoring, or try to get around the daily counts;
• do not copy the site’s sentences, drills or scores to sell them, or try to break or overload the site.

We may stop scoring for a browser or an address that breaks these rules.

The paid plan

The paid plan is not on sale yet. When it opens, these are its terms.

Free for 3 days, then $14.99 a month ($99.99 a year), renewing until you cancel. We e-mail you the day before your first charge. Cancel any time, in one tap, in your account. Changed your mind? Ask within 7 days of your first charge and, if you have used under 10 scored minutes since it, we refund that first payment in full. This is on top of your rights under the law.

• the plan is $14.99 a month or $99.99 a year, in US dollars, the same price in every country. Each includes 120 scored minutes a month; the 3-day free trial includes 15;
• it renews at the same price until you cancel. Cancel in your account in one step, any time, with no questions; a cancel in the free trial means you are never charged, and after it, the plan runs to the end of the period you paid for;
• the refund: ask within 7 days of your first charge, by writing to hello@saylito.com. If you have used under 10 scored minutes since that charge, we refund that first payment in full. Your account shows the scored minutes you have used. This refund is our own promise, on top of your rights under the law, and covers a plan bought on this website;
• if you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may also cancel within 14 days of signing up. The checkout asks you, with a box that is not ticked: “Start my plan now. I understand that if I cancel within 14 days of signing up, I pay only for the days I have used.” If you tick it, the plan starts at once, and a cancel within those days refunds the days you did not use. If you do not, the plan’s paid scoring starts after those days, and a cancel before then costs you nothing;
• Saylito is the seller of the plan. Link (Stripe Managed Payments) is the merchant of record: it takes the payment, handles the sales tax, and its name may appear on your card statement. Link may also refund a payment under its own rules.

What is ours, and what is yours

The site, its sentences, drills, words and design are ours. You may use them for your own practice. Your recordings are yours; you let us send each one to be scored, and we delete it once it is scored (see the privacy policy).

No promise of a result

We work to keep the site running and the scores useful, but we provide Saylito as it is and as available. We make no promise that it will be free of mistakes or always available, or that practice will give any result. Where the law allows, our liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits a right you have by law.

Changes

When these terms change, the date at the top changes with it. A change to the plan’s price never applies to a period you already paid for, and we tell a subscriber by e-mail before it applies to them.
